Frequent Questions
Although most of HealthPath’s grants will be awarded through Requests for Proposals (RFPs), at times HealthPath may extend funding invitations to organizations. These invitations to apply are based on clear alignment with HealthPath’s areas of impact and often are a result of an emergent need in the community.
Our grantmaking and community investments are guided by trust-based philanthropy. This means we prioritize building long-term, values-aligned relationships and making proactive investments that advance our strategic priorities and the communities we serve. Rather than funding individual events through an open request process, we work directly with partners whose work aligns with our mission and focus areas.
We recognize the important role events play in building community, visibility, and momentum, and we appreciate the care and effort that goes into organizing them. At this time, however, HealthPath is unable to consider unsolicited event sponsorship requests.
We encourage organizations to stay connected with HealthPath by following our updates on LinkedIn and signing up for HealthPath emails.
Eligible organizations may submit one application per funding opportunity.
Organizations affiliated with a university, hospital, or other institution with multiple departments or locations must coordinate internally, typically through a centralized office such as Operations, a Foundation, or a Grants Office to ensure a single, unified submission.
For universities, hospitals or other organizations with affiliated foundations, we respectfully request that applications be submitted through the foundation. Applications submitted outside of the institution’s foundation may not be considered.
For programmatic grants, HealthPath adopts the following tiered indirect cost rates based on organizational budget size, effective January 1, 2026.
Organizational Annual Budget Standard Indirect Cost Rate
Under $2 Million 30%
$2 - $4 Million 25%
Over $4 Million 20%
An organization’s total funding request should be inclusive of the Indirect Cost Rate.
