New Age-Friendly Technical Assistance Program

A grant amount of $215,000 over the next 2 years will work to increase the number of and support to Ohio communities working toward age-friendly goals.

CINCINNATI, OH –

Through the generous support of HealthPath Foundation of Ohio, the Age-Friendly Innovation Center—an initiative of The Ohio State University College of Social Work—is launching the Age-Friendly Technical Assistance Program.

A first of its kind, this program will increase the number of and support to Ohio communities working toward age-friendly goals. This unique investment will expand the World Health Organization’s and AARP’s age-friendly framework across the state by engaging older adults as experts in creating innovative, evidence-based solutions to make Ohio a better place to live for people of all ages and abilities.

The Age-Friendly Technical Assistance Program will focus on HealthPath Foundation’s 36-county service area. The program extends the work of the Coalition of Age-Friendly Communities of Ohio, a grassroots collaboration of existing age-friendly communities in the state.
